Today Inara Kolmane is one of the most recognized film directors in Latvia. In 1994 she accomplished her studies at St. Petersburg Institute of Theatre, Music and cinematography in the Faculty of Directors, later on, updated her knowledge by attending different international courses for film directors. In 1991 with her colleagues she co-founded the film production company “DEVINI” in Riga, Latvia, and up today she is the leading film director and producer in the company. Also from 1991 she has been actively producing and directing numerous documentaries, informative films and many commercials. Inara’s films have been nominated in many prestigious international film festivals as well as have won prizes at them. Today she shifts film production company “DEVINI” to a new level by developing documentaries and feature films which have already gained an international interest.
