Edmunds Tomsons is a 90 years old gardener who is also a landscape painter. He lives in the town of Saldus, but his heart belongs to the castle mound of Sidrabene he had inherited from his father. In the times of changes today E.Tomsons has to struggle with a Dane who has bought a property nearby and also wishes to obtain Sidrabene.
