Based on the detective story by Victors Lagzdins "Night at "Mezazi" ". The film is made in a form of classical (English) detective. A closed circle of people in a country house birthday party, and a murder.
An engineer Juris celebrates his birthday with relatives and friends. Among them there is his old friend detective Girts, to whom Juris wants to tell something important. But before he has managed to do that, he gets killed. The detective starts to unreel the thread of interrelation between those people. Almost everybody can be a suspect...
