Based on the book by the famous Swedish writer Astrid Lindgren.
The main character of the film is six years old Emils, who lives in a country farm. He is a very kind-hearted and extraordinary active boy. He is striving to help everybody - his little sister, busy father, dear mother, maid, farm-hand, and even people from alms-house, but somehow the result of his activities is not as it was expected, and very often instead of praise Emils receives punishment. But this cannot stop his responsiveness and craving for doing something. Here lies the essence of the comic situations.
