Set in 1939 in a beautiful private garden, this visually resplendent film is a stylish, yet a cynical presentation of love, lust and betrayal permeating the lives of its dwellers. A decadent version of Eden, the garden is both a metaphor for a world going awry and a showcase for ignorance and petty emotions in a time of global crisis.
Eve is a young, beautiful and succesful musician. She is loved by two men - an artist Tom and a doctor Victor, whose wife she becomes.
